Abstract
The abstract deals with the analysis of grammatical transformations as an option for slang translating. The material of analysis was the series «Friends» and the Ukrainian version of the series. Сolloquial language and slang refer to non-standard, stylistically reduced means of language. These means constitute a challenge for translators, as in most cases, the equivalents for these lexical units are absent in TL.
