Анотація

У статті визначено важливість дослідження концептів культури та їхнього кодування у словах. Розкрито поняття концепту, як способу відображення світогляду носіїв мови у лексичних одиницях, та подано різні визначення концепту. Також було представлено класифікації типів концептів. Охарактеризовано поняття вербалізації концепту та визначено основний спосіб опису концепту. Було досліджено методологію вивчення концептів та виділено й описано основні підходи до методології концептуального аналізу. Проведено аналіз значення лексеми «motion» в англомовних лексикографічних джерелах. Також було представлено всі значення лексичної одиниці «рух» в українських лексикографічних джерелах. Було визначено, що різниця між концептами двох мов незначна. Також було окреслено перспективи майбутніх досліджень у сфері концептуального аналізу вищезгаданих лексем.
The article considers concepts as a partially verbalized phenomenon, because it does not necessarily have a verbal expression, because there are many concepts that do not have a stable name, but their conceptual status is not in doubt. It was mentioned, that in language, concepts are usually represented by lexemes, so- called verbalizers of concepts, in particular keywords (direct nominations of the concept) and their synonyms. It also deals with the importance of researching cultural concepts and their coding in words. It was determined that concepts are the basis of communication culture and are transmitted from generation to generation. It was also indicated that the problem of concepts remains relevant and arouses the interest of many linguists. Attention was paid to the verbal image of the world, which is revealed with the help of various concepts. The notion of a concept is defined as a way of reflecting the worldview of native speakers in lexical units. Different variants of definitions of the concept written by famous linguists were mentioned. Various classifications of concept types according to different scientists were also presented. The verbalization of the concept is characterized as expression of the concept or its individual features by linguistic means. The methodology of studying concepts was investigated and the main approaches to the methodology of conceptual analysis were highlighted and described. An analysis of the meaning of the lexeme "motion" in English-language lexicographic sources was carried out. All meanings of the lexical unit "motion" in Ukrainian lexicographic sources were also presented. It was determined that the difference between the concepts of the two languages is not significant. Prospects for future research in the field of conceptual analysis of the aforementioned lexemes were also outlined. They include a more detailed study of both concepts, which will include the determination of the frequency of use of different meanings of tokens and will involve the study of the components of the synonymous series of the concept "motion" in English and Ukrainian languages.
