Анотація

Understanding how past traumatic experiences affect people is becoming increasingly important in many areas of care. This has led to the development of “trauma-informed care” ̶ a way of working with people that puts their experiences at the center of the process. Instead of just looking at symptoms, it tries to understand how trauma might have shaped someone’s behavior and health. This approach started in the medical field, and its roots can be seen in the work done with Vietnam War veterans in the 1970s. Furthermore, there is a growing awareness of the longterm impacts of adverse childhood experiences, which has highlighted the urgent need for traumainformed approaches across diverse sectors.
